Local Products

Wherever possible we try to source products locally, this is not only good for local businesses but also reduces the number of miles that the food has to travel - good for the food and for the environment. 

Obviously it is not possible to source everything locally but we hope to stock more and more local products. If you know of local producers supplying quality foodstuffs that we don't already stock please let us know so that we can check them out.

We buy most of our fresh meat from Richard, our local butcher, (very local, the shops are opposite one another),  because we know that he sources his quality meat locally and knows how to store and prepare it.  If you're coming to visit the deli, why not buy your meat in the village too and save even more miles.

Upper Norton Jersey Cream Co Ltd, Church Hanborough
Upper Norton Jersey Cream Co,  in the nearby village of Church Hanborough, supply us with the best quality dairy products from nearby Jersey herds.  Their creams and butter are particularly delicious.

Shaken Oak Quality Farm Produce, Hailey, Nr Witney, Oxon
Shaken Oak Farm supply us with award winning, high quality, hand-made mustards and dressings that are free from artificial colourings, flavourings  and preservatives.

Bonners, The Market, Oxford
We buy all our fruit and veg. from Bonners in the Covered Market, they source locally wherever they can and always provide us with good quality products.

Le Bon Pain, Oxford
Le Bon Pain bake overnight and deliver delicious fresh bread and croissants to us every morning except Sunday. We love their Croissants and think you will too.

Michael Cain & Family, Cain Additive Free ltd, Cumnor
Michael supplies us with top quality, additive free meats from the Real Meat Company (see links page for more details).

Bensons  Fruit Juices Ltd, Stones Farm, Sherborne, Gloucestershire 
Benson's supply us with their top quality, pure English, single variety apple juices- Cox's, Bramley and  Jonagold - as well as their tasty  mixed juices like Apple and Rhubarb. All Bensons  juices are made from 100% pure fruit juice with no added flavourings or coulourants.

Shipton Mill Flours, Tetbury, Gloucestershire
Millers Since Domesday
Shipton Mills produce exceptionally fine traditional flours at their mill on the river Avon in Gloucestershire from certified organic wheat. There has been a mill on this site for over 900 years so they must have learned a thing or two by now.

The Queen's Head, Queen Street, Eynsham
Pete Jones at the Queen's supplies us  with real ale (purely for personal, medicinal puposes) and the occasional friendly insult after a long day in the Deli.
